2 days ago while driving my vehicle it started sputtering and had loss of power. Looking at my gauges my battery light came on and all other gauges started to lower. Then fluctuated back up. Then stopped running.I got a boost and it ran while still connected. But shut back down after jumper cables were removed.I changed my serpentine belt appx 2 months ago but truck ran fine. My latest step was I changed the alternator. After doing this my truck ran good-for about 2 hours.I went to a store and when done got in and noticed my battery light on again.I drove it home watching my charge gauge go lower and lower. Luckily I made it to my home. But when I tried starting again it wouldn't. Could it be a bad battery now?

Yes, the battery could be bad, but it sounds more like a charging issue. Do these tests and let me know what you find.
