I have a 2000 GMC Jimmy 4x4 SLE 4door. A clunking/popping noise started a few weeks ago as well as a constant grinding. It turned out that The front passenger side hub was shot so I got it replaced. The clunking/popping noise is still there, so I thought that the Driver side was going to. I ordered the hub and replaced that one myself. The Clunking/popping sound is still there. This sound only happens when I turn and occasionally when I go over bump. What is this?

This sounds consistent with a faulty drive shaft CV joint, I would get a mechanic to road test this to confirm the diagnosis, a good mechanic will be able to pick this up if it is the CV easily, but it is something that really should be heard first hand before making a diagnosis.
