2000 Chevy silverado 5.3l v8 with 122000mi.
Check engine light is on and shows codes of too lean left and right bank and p0300 engine misfire. Rpms go up and down at startup and almost dies but runs fine when driven around or after it warms up. Rpms are rougher with cold weather.
What is causing this? Also, loss of power.

Use a gage and check fuel pressure. How long since a tune-up? 02 sensors are part of a tune-up. Clean idle air system.

I have cleaned idle air valve. And I replaced it with a new one at one point in time and the idle kept climbing so I put the old one back in. Still haven't checked fuel pressure yet but will soon. I didn't know o2 was apart of a tune up, thanks.

Have you changed plugs and plug wires recently? The p0300 could be almost anything. The p0300 is cylinder misfire, but, the exact cylinder can't be determined.
