Trying to replace #3 Fuel Injector, NOT the poppet style, Its the later style one like the updated one.
Its the spider injector that has the plastic on the nozzle ends but doesnt have the tabs to squeeze to release like the poppet style.
It has 3 little tabs on it that break.
I tried to remove them and #1cyl broke so now when I put it back into the intake, it wont lock in place
I stopped there because I dont want to break anymore, cant afford another $500 for 5 injectors.(Autozone)
How do I remove them from the intake without breaking them?
The only one thats bad is #3, it set P0200, P0303. Plug, wire, cap and rotor all new. Has injector pulse with noid light on all. What can I do. Chevy said they have retainers that they recommend with injectors but had no picture of it so they're not sure that thats what I need.
If you look at a pic of the replacement injector, you'll see what I mean
Help, I have this thing apart and need it for work monday AM

TIA

2000 s-10 2.2 A while back the truck was missing, changed plugs, wires, and fuel filter. Did not fix the problem. When driving the other day had sudden lose of power, barely made it home. Has started once sense but ran for short time and died. The scan tool brings up trouble code po200 injector circuit malfunction. That was the main code that comes up. I did have multiple misfire but that was after trying to start it with no success.
Should I be looking at wiring, fuel pump, plugged injectors? Where do I start?

Unplug all injectors, use a noid lite on each injector electrical plug, one at a time, see if lite pulses, engine cranking. You can also, do an ohms test on injector around two ohms.

I'd have to do some of the basic tests, engine cranking check for spark at the plugs. Use a gage and check fuel pressure. You have good compression?
