? I notice that my check engine comes on, on dec 18 I drove my car I try to start my car and it would not start, I charge my battery, and it still would not start.I would like to know what do you think.I also want to know if it have something to do with the rain. If I have a wet distributor cap would that might be why my car wont start. Please let know thank our if u need more info engine vortec 4300 v6 csfi

Its not a 4cyl if its a 4.3 liter-Okay start with this

Have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine management system that caused the CEL to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis, finding out what's going on.

What is the cel? Does this have something to do wuth the starter. And why is the check engine light keep comeing on. So you saying have a diagnosis check?

CEL is the (check engine light)-you need to have the computer scanned for code/s that maybe causing your problem or you can try below

Get a helper disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine at least 3/16 away from ground -have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel related problem, Do you hear the fuel pump come On when you turn key on? If not check fuel pump fuse and fuel pump relay if so, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, coil's resistances, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors and computer Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it

I just had my cel fix 2month ago. So the cel is why my astro van not starting.

That was 2mos. Ago -scanned the computer with a scantool something is causing it pop the CEL on-

ABS is the antilocking brake system-you can get one from them or rent it-I suggest you own one for future uses-
