2000 Chevy Astro cranks over but will not start

Sounds like fuel pump is working, I can here it when I turn the key. How do you check the ignition module? And how do you check the fuel pump? I had a code 053 show up, the fuel tank pressure sensor, could this be the cause of my problems?

You need to check the fuel pump pressure to the fuel rail. Here is a how to for doing that. Let me know what you find.
