I have a problem with my blower motor it doesn't run. I checked to see if I was getting my voltages coming off of wires going into blower, I had 12 volts on red the black wire is the ground but the middle wire which is the control wire has no voltage on it and research that I did said it should be between 3 and 9 volts which leads me to believe that the blower control module is bad. I could not find the module I checked behind glove box and all over the passenger dash area and still didn't locate the module. So I guess my question is where is the blower control module located on my 2000 cadillac eldorado esc

Is this the front or rear blower motor? The module is attached to the blower motor, you should be able to remove 5 screws and pull it off. There should be a gasket between the two.

It is the front main blower motor and the control module is not connected to the blower. The blower control module on this car is a black box about the size of a pack of cigarettes. Also I had the blower motor out and there was nothing there or attached to motor. I figured that no one would be able to give me a correct response. Thanks alot I'm now back at square 1 !

Thank you very much wasn't trying to sound like an a**hole earlier but it's always so hard to get good info about fixing Cadillacs a lot of mechanics tell u to go to the dealer or they have u keep throwing money at it till they replace enough components that they track down the problem I was wondering if u could answer another problem I have with my 95 cad sls it has eradic idle issues won't start right away when it's hot has horrible gas mileage and puts out black smoke. Just changed o2 sensors, crank and camshaft sensors, egr valve throttle position sensor, PVC valve, plugs wires and coil packs. I don't know what else I could do at this point please help me out with this. Thanks once again for sending that diagram and info

Have you done a compression check yet? It could be blow back. Also, have you had any of the codes scanned? Most scanners will have an adapter for this particular car.

Quick question, where is the blower control module actually located? I've looked at all data and it is completely wrong. I have the same car, a 2000 Cadillac Eldorado. No voltage coming through on the control wire at the blower motor. I am absolutely stumped and can not find where the module is located. Thanks!

Please let us know what happens.

Im talking about the control module for the blower motor mounted on the firewall. The one that looks like a small black box. Ive attached a picture of it. Everyone says its right behind the glove box, I have torn this car apart and can not find it.

Judging by the lead it needs to be fairly close. Here is the wiring diagram it says its right next to it or with it.

Please let us know what you find.
