My car has an evap leak. Where would I start to look for the problem?

Visual inspection of hoses and clamps. If you got this diagnosis from a fault code, they specify whether it's a small leak or a large leak. A loose gas cap will set a large leak code. For small leaks you'll usually need a smoke machine. You find a place to inject white non-toxic smoke at 2 psi, then look for where it's sneaking out.
