Any suggestions on what it could be, where to start, or what to tell the mechanic to look at?

My car decelerates and while it decelerates the speedometer either cut outs instantly or becomes very sluggish and not accurate. While it's decelerating, if I keep pressing the gas pedal the engine doesn't respond but the RPMs do. This problem only happens once in a while, not constantly but it isn't safe. When this is happening sometimes I just keep pressing the gas pedal and eventually it starts acting normal. Other times I have to bring the car to a complete stop before it starts acting normal. Recently I have had both the speed sensor on the transmission and the O2 sensor replaced due to them throwing codes. I keep taking it to a Toyota dealership for diagnostics but their only answers have been to fix what the codes say are wrong. They are terrible and have not even tried to figure out the real problem that I have been describing to them. I've paid $200 in diagnostic fees for them to tell me what I can figure out in 5 minutes at Autozone. HELP! My car is no longer throwing any codes but the problem is still happening.

You need to go back to the toyota dealership and ask to speak the service manager and talk to the service manager and tell him you paid for diagnoses and repair and its still not fixed. That you want it fixed at no additional charge. If he says he cant do anything for you then tell him your going to file a complaint to toyota about his lack of effort of making it right.
