Should the rpm be running at 2500 when driving at 60 mph or is there a possibe problem with the transmission?

Automatic, also what is the purpose of the transmission control module and transmission inhibitor switch. Thanks

2500 is normal for the automatic.

Tcm controls all shift functions.
