I did to confirm proper timing while the engine was out of the car, not since instalation. I think I can reach the flywheel through a gap on the under side and try rotating that with a long screw driver? The only thing on install that was questionable was the engine was hard to mate with trans. I used the bolts to pull it together. Is that normal? It was a little hard to seperate too so a didn't think much of it.
