1999 Pontiac Sunfire - No High Beams

Well bad socket would cause trouble. Found on Mitchell many light problems with that model and it was coroded wiring under windshield wiper bottle

A bad socket would cause one to light and the other not too and vice versa on high beam?

It must have been a coincidence but both sockets were bad.

After the new sockets were put into place everything is working like it should.

I'm still tempted to take out the new switch and put the old one back given the switch was not the issue but I think I will just take it as a lesson learned.

Well you hung in and got it I can say in my 45 yrs working on cars never seen two bad sockets weird
