Motor done for good?

In my 1999 grand prix there is heavy knocking from the engine, appears internal. Possibly in pistons? Also seems to be a little smoke. Seems like the engine wants to cease up. Is the motor done for?

It sounds like a main or rod bearing. If the oil is full, you have oil pressure, and the noise is there, that is what it sounds like. Honestly, the engine is most likely rebuildable, but chances are you would save a lot of money by getting a good used engine that would bolt righ in.
