Battery light came on and before it did the control panel for the heat started blinking. Had to replace altanator but the heat and air unit is still not working. Checked the fuses and replaced the unit but that did not work either not sure where to go from here?

It's automatic temperature control. Turn key on press off and floor mode at same time, then 2 seconds later press the auto button. That should give you codes, write them all down to findout what is wrong withit. There are 3 fuses in car-2-6&19 for this and 1 fuse and circuit breaker underhood. Fuse 3 underhood and circuit breaker #26 make sure noen fo those are blown or bad. Check the ground near the underhood fuse box to see if it is good or not corroded.
