I was in an accident about a month ago. No other vehicles were involved, I hit the guard rail on the passenger side of the car. Other than the door being smashed in there was no visible damage. Before the accident the car ran perfectly like brand new. It sat in the impound for about a week until I could get it out. When I picked it up it had to be Jump started. I drove it home with no problems and it hasn't started since then. I figured I drained the battery because I left the hazards on. Took the battery to get charged they told me it was bad so I replaced the the battery and the battery post. My "smart" husband put the battery in wrong and blew a fuse replaced that fuse and tested all the others which was good. The cars still wont start the hazards work the horn sounds but that is it. No lights come on no sounds ( like the beeping when the key is in) no sound when you try to crank it nothing. What else could possibly be wrong?

I was unaware that my car had a security system. I don't have a remote to open it. But I will look into it thanks

Checked my owners manual there is no mention of a security system check online they systems that were shown are not on my car neither factory or aftermarket. So I guess it's safe to say there's no security system. What else could be the problem

I am assuming it wont' turn over so check fuses 41 and 42 in underhood fuse box. Also check start relay under lh side of dash in relay box. Our wiring diagram did show anti theft but that is amoot point now. If it still won't start have apro look at it as there may be more problems from the battery being installed backwards.

Then have a pro look at it where he can physically test things as you may have damaged more from the battery hooked up incorrectly.
