My car is leaking power steering fluid but I can not find were it is coming from. Today I noticed a puddle of fluid on the opposite side of power steering unit

Typically that means the rack and pinion assembly is leaking, but one end of the high-pressure hose is also on the driver's side. If a seal is leaking in the rack assembly you can slide the clamp off the small end of either accordion boot, then use a pick to pull the boot open a little. If fluid runs out, you need a new rack assembly. You only need to check one boot. There's a transfer tube between them for air to move back and forth. If there's a leak on one side, the fluid will show up on both sides.
