1999 Ford Taurus will not run after starting

My 1999 Ford Taurus was running like a dream when I parked it. 4 hours later when I tried to start it to go to work it would only start if the accelerator was pushed to the floor. Once you released the accelerator it would choke down and not run. It has a batter that is 2 months old.

Check fuel pump pressure. There are directions on our home page under the DIY section. If that checks out, my next question is if the check engine light is on. If so, have the computer scanned to identify where the problem is coming from. Most parts stores will scan it for free, but since you can't drive it, I believe they will lend or rent a scanner to you.
