Indicator shows D but car is in neutral?

Not shifting to correct position. Indicator shows D but car is in neutral. Indicator shows D2 when car is in drive. Car will not start when placed in park position. Starts in D position.

Hello,

It sounds like the shift indicator for your vehicle needs to be adjusted.

In order to do the adjustment you will have to remove the ignition lock cylinder and the shroud around the steering column.
Also if your vehicle has tilt function you will have to remove that release lever as well.
