1999 Ford Taurus door lock problem

My dome light stays on and the door lock on the drivers side returns to unlocked position after putting on seat belts and driving away. I try locking the doors again and they all stay locked except the drivers side door. The dome light stays on. As soon as the dome light goes out the door will lock. This is on a 1999 Ford Taurus SE.

The door ajar switch is part of the door latch, Try this, get some penetrating lube (WD40) and go around to each door and spray each latch then open and close each door say 4 or 5 times and see if dome light goes off, If this doesnt work then the susupect door switch/latch will need to be replaced.
