Care shutting down

I have a 1999 ford tarus that whin the wether gose form cool to warm it starts to shut down and thin back fires a lot whin trying to start there are no codes in the memery and it dosent show over heating but keeps a good temp I wate a while a bout 20 mins or so and thin it will fire right up but I wast sure if it run so I had the care towed home to my home.
