I have a 99 ford ranger I parked it for 10 months it ran fine when I parked it. The battery was dead so I bought a new one. It started right up so I tried to drive it. It ran for about a mile and started to stall then it went another mile and quit and will not start back. Its firing but not starting please help me find the problem?

SO it cranks pops and won't start?Have you tested the voltage of the new battery while it cranks to see what the battery voltage reads? You could have a alternator not charging and then the battery got too low t start. When you turn the key to the on position without cranking the engine over can you hear the fuel pump run in the tank for 5 seconds?

If you know that is good start with the basics make sure you have spark rent a fuel pressure gauge to test the pump also rent a noid light that plugs into where the injectors go and you crank it looking for a flashing light.
