I have a triton v-8 with fuel delivery issue I believe. I changed fuel filter and still have no getup. Is the fuel pump in the gas tank? I redid plugs and changed a bad coil pack. I changed fuel filter and still have no fuel pressure. I want to check the fuel pump. I need to know if I have to drop the fuel tank or not. Is the pump outside of the tank and how involved is it for a driveway mechanic like me?

Yes it is located in the fuel tank. Pretty much all of them are these days.
It is not too hard of a job, but you have to drain the tank then lower it to get to the pump. Be sure that the battery is disconnected. Also, be sure to check the connector very carefully as they are prone to degrading.
Some people say it is easier to take the bed off, I always take the tank down.
