My truck wont crank

My truck wont crank. The headlights work, Break lights, Hazard lights, and doors lock and unlock. The radio and interior lights wont work. What could be wrong, Is it a bad battery or something else?

Have you checked all the fuses?Do the dash lights come when you turn the key on?So the starter is inop?Have you had the battery tested?Made sure the battery cables are clean and tight?

The cables have white stuff on them, We have not had the battery tested. The Truck turns on but it DOES NOT Turn over. It tries but It sounds like it just cant pull it off. The lights get Realllllly dim when I try to crank it. I dont know much about trucks so fuses and stuff, foreign to me. When I turn the key sometimes it will click, sometimes it wont

Also, If its not the battery then what does it sound like it can be, We think its the battery but we arent sure

The white stuff is battery acid and corrosion mix up some baking soda and water soak all the white stuff in that. Plus use a wire brush to clean it up. Also have the battery tested.
