Hello, I was wondering if my explorer has a timing chain or belt? Its a 4.0 L OHV engine. Also, does my belt or chain need to be replaced? We got the vehicle when it had a 144000 miles on it and now it has 205000. If the timing belt breaks, what will happen to my vehicle? Im not sure if it is a non interface type or not.

Its a chain driven engine at the mileage you should if it was me I will replace it nd no its not an IE-

If the timing chain breaks, it is going to cause extensive damage to the engine.
