While driving (LXI model) I noticed the temperature gauge was at peak on high. On H on hot I pulled over it started to get the star to go down a little bit. Started back up got back on the road all the set, it heats back again at the high then it shut off on me. I had to coast to it onto a side street. Try to start it back up once the gates are going down again. No go, couple days later I returned to the car trying to start it up again still nothing. What could be wrong? Hopefully it is an easy fix I hope.

Good evening.

From the overheating, you may have damaged a head gasket. The reason for the overheating needs to be found as well.

I would have the car tested for a failed head gasket. Also, the thermostat may have been the original reason it overheated.

I doubt it is a simple fix at this point.
