Chevy Truck problem

4.3 L engine 4 X 4
extended cab, 6ft box

ABS & brake warning lights come on periodically

i restart the engine and they go away

but will come back during an other drive

no sequince to the lights comming on

any idea what could cause this issue

could it be a defective ABS sensor?

That means the computer is seeing a malfunction and you need to have the codes read to find out what it saw.

ABS sets a "C" code. You would have to get a local shop read the exact code, while autoparts stores will scan codes for free, they can only scan "P" (powertrain) codes.

Most likely a wheel sensor, but you will have to get it scanned to verify.
