I have a 99 tl 3.2 the idle is at a high low and this problem just started. Now the tranny is not shifting properly I was wondering if with the idle the way it is that it is telling the tranny module not to shift because of the rpm. Could you please help?

It may be the Vehicle Speed Sensor, VSS, which controls the speedometer which feeds a signal to the Transmission Control Module, TSS, and controls RPM at different speeds and transmission shifting.
