Why do the turn signals not work in my 98 Saturn SC2 but the hazards do?

I was changing the back right turn signal but when I got the light cover off the bulb wasn't burnt out. I was replacing the bulb anyways when all of a sudden all the blinkers stopped working. The tail, break, and head lights work. But the blinkers don't. I checked all the fuses and they all seem to be working properly

Check to make sure the socket isn't damaged and check the wiring to it to confirm nothing has been damaged.

Just to add to this one why did you change the bulb?The turn signals worked before the bulb change?What is the bulb nunber of the bulb you put in?

I changed it bc the front right blinker was blinking really fast, I just assumed it was the bulb. When I got the back light cover off and realized it wasn't the bulb, I thought I might as well put the new one in (the number is 1156 I think?) But when I put the new bulb in, the front blinker was still blinking really fast. If I figited with it it would come on but never stay on. I was about to try holding it in place with electrical tape when all the blinkers stopped working (it doesn't even click). But the hazards do work (except for the back right blinker which still doesn't work)

Sounds like you have a bad turn signal socket also sounds like you blew the turn signal fuse in the inside fuse box. Did you check the turn signal fuse in the inside fuse box?
