Hi, my 98 altima started sputtering and then stalled after the ses light was flashing. After a few attempts to start it I added fuel thinking I may have a faulty gas guage. Then it started and I drove a half mile before the ses light was flashing again and stalled once again but this time I noticed a white cloud thinning in the distance behind me. What's the problem? Head gasket?

When you "SES" light is flashing that is telling you to stop the engine due to raw fuel entering the catalytic converter which would permanently damage the catalyst. Find out what the service engine soon light is on for. Most auto parts suppliers will scan your vehicle's computer for free. Talk to your soon, TY
