My question is in my mercury grand marquis I am wondering if it matters the year model front seat I get. If they all bolt up the same or what not? My front whole seat is worn out but my car is doing fine. I just need to replace the front seat and I need to know if it really matters about the year I am looking for or can I just getting any old seat to fit that is a ford product. Such as the crown vic, lincoln town car, and mercury grand marquis

Thanks for any help you may provide for me.

Do you care about power seats? If not, I guess any seat that will bolt up properly and the restraints will work like they should, should work. Just my opinion, your best bet is to get a seat from the same year--make--model.

Some salvage yards have a catalog that may tell you which seats will work in your vehicle. I don't know which seats would be direct fit?

With non-powered seats, I have taken the passenger seat out and put it on the driver side. Put the broken driver seat on the passenger side. The person only cared about the driver seat. I'm not sure how safe that was, but it worked.
