Engine Cooling problem
1999 Mercury Marquis V8 120000 miles

My check engine light came on then the car started running hot. I had the thermostat replaced and later that same day it ran hot again and started smoking from under the hood. When I opened the hood and removed the cover from the motor, there was a crack at the top right side and water was running out of the crack like a faucet. What should I get repaired?

Well I hate to break the bad news too you, but it sounds like you have a cracked engine block, as far as I know the only thing that can be done is replace the engine, I have heard of some cases where a crack can be welded, but I would not count on that.

THESE HAD A RECALL FROM FORD IT IS THE INTAKE MANIFOLD THEY WHERE MADE FROM PLASTIC AND LATER UPDATED
