Airbag Control Module and Crash Sensor?

I wrecked my 1998 Ford Ranger. The airbag on the driver side went off. I had the passenger side switch off. I am going to replace the driver airbag. Is the Crash Sensor and the Airbag Control Module the same thing? Do I need to replace both or just one? Where is the Airbag control module located? I found the crash sensor behind the passenger kick panel.

Yes the crash sensor is the airbag control module. Try just replacing the air bag and see if the light goes off meaning the system is okay.
