1998 Ford Ranger 4wheel drive

My 4 wheel drive works some times. The dash light blinks 9 or 12 times. Woundering if that is a code?

When it doesn't work, check for power to the 4wd actuator on the transfer case. It is common for the actuator to go bad. If there is power, remove the actuator and check it for operation.
