98 Mustang 3.8 liter V6

I was driving down the road when my 98 mustang v6 began sounding like a desiel and losing power. I heard a clink under the hood. Car wont start now but turns over smoothly. I heard it could've jumped time. What do you think?

Well that is possible an engine compression would tell.

My bad forgot that year is DIS so need compression test
