It is all-wheel drive and it stays in all the time

Tring to find out what I can do to disconect it to see what part needs to be replaced

You need a shop with a scan tool to see why it is commanded to all wheel all the time. Just disconnecting something does nothing.
The bcm controls the all wheel drive and can be viewed in a scan tool.
