1998 Ford Explorer Squeaks at low idle

Changed all pulleys and belt. Twice! At low idle there is persistent squeak. Kinda loud. With the serpentine belt off, it still squeaks. It seems worse in cold weather. Or cool mornings. Sorta sounds like it is coming from the harmonic balancer area. Car runs fine and takes long trips with no problems. Just sounds bad.

Is there any play in and out on the harmonic balance pulley?Start the engine while its being started watch the harmonic balancer pulley see if it goes in and comes back out while starting?

Actually, changed the pulley on the balancer with no change in the squeak.

I know that but I was asking can you grab the pulley and try moving the oulley with your hands in and out of the engine?Also watch the pulley while its started and see if the pulley moves in then moves out?Both these things has nothing to do with the pulley. Its seeing if your crankshaft main bearings are worn?You can also use a pry bar to check for end play if the pulley is moving it could be rubbing/scraping on something.
