The van is a 98 Dodge Grand Caravan with 3.3l engine. It has dual climate control. The problem is when you turn the AC on, the passenger side blows hot air and the driver side blows cold. Any idea on what causes this? Does not change when you put it on heat or air. Still blows hot air.

The temperature is controlled by the use of an air mix door that is operated by an electric motor/actuator. This door can be jammed or the actuator can be inoperative or have stripped plastic gears internally.
