My chrysler stratus 98 model V6 2.5ltrs engine 2 of the sparkplug use to soak with oil and cause the engine to misfire and fuel consumption very high, my mechanic said I shld buy another engine, is there no other alternative than buying another engine? Pls I nd a ful detail on wat 2 do. Ask your question, include relevant details. The more information you include, the more accurate the answer will be.

All your trouble may be caused by oil leaking past the spark plug tube O-rings. You should change the valve cover gaskets (which includes replacing the spark plug tube O-rings) and do a tune up. This will stop your engine from missing and improve your fuel economy.
