Which one is better and smarter?

I have a 1993 chevy silverado v8 needs transmission, stickers and 1000 dollers in body work. Now my uncle is offering me a 1998 chevy sliverado standerd with a new moter just put in and new tires for 2,000. Wich is the better and over all cheeper for me to do?

Check out KBB to determine the value of each. Based on the 93 needing 1K dollars in body work plus a transmission, I would jump on the 98 if it is in good shape. That sounds like a really good price, but I can't see the vehicle either. You will end up with more than 2K into the 93. Sell it for parts and you'll get a good bit of money for it.
