Hello well I have a 1998 s10 4cy 2200 sfi. I dont know what happen, can some one please help. I just bought the truck and the guy I bought it off of said that the truck was running good. He had it fully loaded with things to move and it just stop. So he had it towed to his house and just left it there. So I came around and bought it off of him when I went to go pick it up it started right up. I drove it home about 12 miles every thing good. That same night I go to the store in it and as sun as I was pulling in to my drive way it shuts off. And I could not but the check engine light comos on at the same time and now I cant get it to work. I unpluged the battery for a holl day and pluged it back on and it started put it did it. The check engine light came on. I have done lots of things checked fuse relays. I cant hear the fuel pump como. Ran a external wire to the gray wire going to the pump with power couldnt get it to start. I read some thing about flashing the pcm with the vin. Can some one let me know what should I do. Dont have losts of money to take it in to the dealar. Thank you.

Have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine management system that caused the CEL to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis, finding out what's going on.
