So my check engine light came back on our 1998 Chevy camaro. I took it to autozone they said it was an evap leak. I have looked at all the hoses and they all look good. Any suggestions.

MAYBE IT'S YOUR GAS CAP?

ARE YOU INSTALLING IT TIGHT UNTIL IT CLICKS A FEW TIMES?

Yeah I put the cap on and I let it click 3 times. The gas cap has never been changed.

STILL. YOU MAY HAVE A LEAK SOMEWHERE ELSE IN THE EVAP SYSTEM

WANNA SMEAR A LITTLE THIN COAT OF VASOLINE ON THE GAS CAP GASKET AND GIVE THAT A TRY?

OTHER THAN THAT. YOU'RE GONNA HAVE TO KEEP SEARCHING

Ok I will keep looking and I will try the vasoline on the gas cap. The vasoline on the cap won't hurt anything will it.

THIS IS NOT SOME SORTA "DESERT SETTING" ----SKIN FLICK IN THE MAKING!

. LET'S NOT GET CARRIED AWAY. NOTHING WILL BE DAMAGED

IF YOU LIKE--JUST SLICK UP THE "OUTER LIP" AROUND THE FILL HOLE----WHERE THE GAS CAP SEAL---SEALS AGAINST

YOU JUST WANNA SLICK IT UP A LITTLE BIT---BASICALLY--LIKE PUTTING ON CHAP-STICK

THIS MAY LET IT SEAL BETTER
