1997 Opel Astra Dashboard panels not running

Unfortunately, we don't have this vehicle in the US so there is no information we can provide to you. I would suspect it could be the instrument cluster being defective. Test for power and ground at the instrument cluster connectors and if you have good power and ground going into it, replace the instrument cluster. If the speedometer is cable driven, I would inspect the cable that runs from the instrument cluster to the other end which most likely will lead you to the transmission. Ive had vehicles here where the cable breaks inside the transmission and I lose the speedometer and I need to replace the speedometer cable to fix it. Best of luck.
