1997 Mazda 626 Engine

I changed my piston rings a week ago and notice a low idle condition. When I remove the top cylinder I saw lot of water in the combustion chambers, that is on top the piston. How does water get in there?

If you are getting coolant into the cylinder, then most likely you have a bad head gasket. Did you see this before the rings were replaced or after?
