Need help with inner tie rod.

I have a 1997 Ford Windstar. I can not get the inner tire rod off. I have tried almost everything. I do not have a tire rod puller or any special tools, but as far as I know they just unscrew off. There is no rivet or anything else holding it in as far as I know.

You can go to a parts store and rent the tool needed to loosen it. It must be as tight when you install the new one.

Hey Roy, do I really need the tool for some special reason or does it just make it easier to get off. What I mean is do I need the tool to get it off or is there another way to get it off that I might have not tried yet. Like I said there is nothing holding it on I just can't break it loose is all.

There is no room for pipe wrench. If you rent the tool it will make your life much easier.
