Here's the situation I've found myself in with this car. When I turn the ignition to the on position, the cooling fan and fuel pump come on and run continuously. Check engine light, brake light, all light up while this is going on. It used to be after a few minutes running like this in the on position, suddenly the lights as well as the fan and pump would turn off. At this point the car could be started, but until this transition the car would try turning over but would never fire or sputter in the least. The colder the weather, the longer it would need to sit before the engine would fire up.

Now that it's winter, no matter how long the car sits in the on position with the fan and everything running it will not start, simply drain the battery from the fan/pump running. The fuel pump as well as the CCRM by the battery are new, and when the car is trying to turn over the smell of gasoline comes out of the tailpipe leading me to believe these parts are working. I've had people suggest replacing the computer, but I thought I'd check for some insight on here first. Without knowing the logic of the computer I'm not sure if there are even any sensors that need a certain reading prior to allowing the car to start.

I appreciate any help that I can get on this, thanks!

Get a helper disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine at least 3/16 away from ground -have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel related problem, Do you hear the fuel pump come On when you turn key on? If not check fuel pump fuse and fuel pump relay if so, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, coil's resistances, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors and computer Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it.
