Car wont idle

Ok when I turn my car on it will start up for a few seconds then turn off I hear the fule pump start up so I dont think thats it and if I hold my foot on the gas it revers up and down but it stays running before this happened the engine was rebuilt an fule pump was replaced

Clean out the idle air control valve, EGR valve and clean out the MAF sensor with a electronic cleaner-CRC and test the throttle position sensor to include a fuel pressure check.
