Motor just dies

Both o2sen. Are bad but my 1997 tahoe just dies and some times it takes awhile to get it started again could that be a fuel filter

How long since a tune-up? I guess you replaced the bad 02 sensors? When the problem occurs, have a helper crank it while you visually check for spark at the plugs. If you have spark everywhere, use a gage and check fuel pressure. Some of the national brand autostores used to loan out a fuel pressure gage. A fuel filter is part of a tune-up, make sure there is no pressure on the fuel system, before taking any lines loose.
