The over drive solenoid. My truck doesnt shift to over drive

Inside the pan on the valve body, if it in fact is bad. It needs to be checked to verify as it could be power supply, wiring or dirt in the valve body among other possibilities.

It is controled by the computer as to when it turns on and off depending on load and speed. It has a wiring harness inside the pan.

It is on the bottom of the front pump in the pan.

If you are not sure, get someone with a scan tool to check it for you to verify it is working
