1997 Cadillac Deville cooling system

Computer always(even right after a new radiator was installed) tells me to check coolant level. How? No level line inside coolant container, no dip stick of any kind. How hot should coolant run when driving? Also heater/defroster blows only cold air even tho temp set at 90. Could this be related in any way to antifreeze levels? Thank you.

With the engine cold, remove the radiator cap and check the level of coolant there. As far as the overflow, it should be aprox 1/2 full. And yes, low coolant will cause issues with the heater.
