How do you replace the outside door handle on the front doors.

I need to replace both the driver side and passenger side outside door handles. Can you give me a step by step procedure and do you have any pictures. I believe the handles have an ear that the connecting rod hooks to. Is it possible to switch the handles from one side to the other. Isn't there an ear on both sides of the handle that would allow this?

No, not interchangeable from side to side.
The inner door panels have to be removed to gain acess to the release bolts and linkage for the door releases.
If you have never done this before, there is a lot you can break or damage even with instructions. Get bids from different shops and see what you are looking at for the charges.
It will be money well spent.
